It's uber monotone because of the background. Try stocks next time. Learn some blending techniques.

Stocks are pictures of people, landscapes, or specific objects. Go to sxc.hu find a good starting background then manipulate it with effects and stuff. Use deviantart to find a good stock sig tutorial.
